Opportunity pt. 5: Opportunity to Rest

Right now, we have an opportunity to really look at rest and Sabbath and if we're putting those practices in place in our own lives. Desire is a good thing, but desire also causes unrest in our lives. The good news: rest recaptures desire. How are you resting in a way that draws you closer to God?

Opportunity

Opportunity. It might seem like there's not much of that to be found right now. But what if the opposite was actually true? Sure, we all feel pretty out of control, lost, anxious, and scared in this season, but what if instead of letting those feelings overwhelm us, we focused on the opportunities right in front of us that are unique to this season? The opportunity to really get to know our kids. The opportunity to connect with our spouse in a whole new way. The opportunity to step out and love our neighbors like never before. The word "unity" is right there in "opportunity"—let's use this time as just that: an opportunity to find more unity in our families, our communities, and our world.
