In the last week of our series on 1 John, Pastor Rod takes us through 5:6-13. John is responding to people who are testifying about Jesus but don't know who Jesus is. John, on the other hand, walked with Jesus through it all - baptism, death and rising. John talks about the testimony of the water, blood and Spirit. Additionally, we have the testimony of God the Father, and if you disagree with God then you're wrong. Rodney also talks about two approaches to God - works and grace. Understanding that because of God's grace, regardless of what we have or haven't done to earn it, the price of our sins has been paid. In our endless search for identity, we need to remember the only identity that matters is ours in Jesus.
