Christ our Advocate

We're in week two of our sermon series on 1 John. This week we look at 1 John 2:1-11. John is talking to the church in response to misinformation and he addresses the hard questions of the faith. In this chapter, we learn that Jesus is not only our advocate in the case of our sins but Jesus is our Propitiation. He made the ultimate sacrifice for us by dying on the cross. He has removed the barrier of sin and made reconciliation between God and humanity possible. As Christians, we must acknowledge this ultimate sacrifice and work to be better, not perfect, each day.
